It was bedouins...and a goddess religion....meso-cults Assyrian or what not.  Before Mohamed became a convert to Islam....he worshiped Alat...the female form of Allah...Islam descended from Judiasm and its bastard sibling Christianity..

Pure and simple..the people of the area have been only controlled by blood and authoritanism......Hammerabi had his code...an eye for an eye..It worked.

Alexander had to overtake Darius of Persia and subjugate the Persians and other middle eastern cultures..yet despite such a high degree of culture..the society was bloody.

It was by blood they were created and ruled in the middle east..and it is by blood they will die. The ways of the West are good, but DEMOCRACY forced on a people does not WORK!!!

Even when Britain controlled the area....it was a disaster. The Ottoman Turks, as cruel as they were at least forged order from Chaos...Much like Tito in the former Yugoslavia...

Shiite and Suni...like Catholics and Protestants will always have problems...however Christianity is more forgiving in the hands of kind people but equally as barbaric in the hands of Zealots and extremists. So must Islam be as well.....

This discussion is not about Islam..it is about controlling a wild and rebellous people who are not meant to be under a democratic rule...a people who feel in blood there is justice....They have always hated foreigners...and especially those who have had more...

Perhaps Turkey is a shining example of a moderate country..but remember it was for many centurys the center of Christianity as Byzantium...

It was only when the Crusades started that the barbarian Christians felt they had to liberate the Holy areas from the Saracens or Moores....The crusaders descended on Constantanople..and killed the Christians thinking them Moores...thus Turkey embraced Islam.

Another lesson was the case of Iran..formerly Persia...we held the regime of the Shah in power...the Clerics then turned Islam on the underprivlaged or the persecuted..thus power and the overthrow of a very prosperous pro western country was placed firmly in the hands of Islam...

None the less, the point I am making is that Civil war is inevitable we just need to keep out of it.....and if Israel joins the conflict..let the Muslims and Israelites work it out once and for all.
